UP Police Recruitment 2017 for Computer Operator (666 Posts)

Uttar Pradesh Police has invited applications for the recruitment of Computer Operator (Grade 'A'). Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for this post online. Age:


The age of the candidate must be between 18 to 28 years as on 01-07-2017 (Candidate must have born between 02-07-1989 to 01-07-1999).

The relaxation in the upper age limit is as per the government rules.

Selection Procedure:


The selection of candidates will be done through an Online Written Exam and  Computer Typing Test. Online Written Exam will be of 200 marks with questions related to Reasoning, General Knowledge, Mental Ability, Computer Science and a minimum of 40% marks will be required to qualify this test. Computer Typing Test will consist of English (30 wpm) and Hindi (25 wpm) Typing Test of 15 minutes each with a break of 10 minutes after the first test.

Scale of Pay:


Candidates will be placed in the Pay Scale of Rs. 5200/- to Rs. 20,200/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/-.

Qualification:  


Candidate must be 12th passed having Maths and Physics as Subjects from a recognized Board. Also, you must have passed an 'O' Level exam in Computer by DOEACC/ NIELIT or an equivalent exam recognized by Government of India. OR You must hold a Diploma in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering recognized by Technical Education Council, Uttar Pradesh or equivalent qualification recognized by Government.

Pre-requisites to apply online:  


Candidate must have scanned copy of recent colored photograph and signature. The size of the photograph and signature must be between 20kb to 50kb and the dimensions of the photograph must be 35mm * 45mm.

Application Fee:


Candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 400/-. Payment of fees can be made through Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card and eChallan. Payment through eChallan can be made at your nearest SBI Branch.

Application Process:


Candidates who are eligible can apply online at prpb.gov.in. The online application will start from 16-05-2017 and close on 15-06-2017. The application submission can only be done through online mode.

How to Apply Online:


  • Go to website prpb.gov.in.
  • Then, click on 'Candidate Registration' and fill out the application form.
  • After that click on 'Fee Deposition' and make fee payment.
  • Then, click on 'Submit Application Form' for final submission of the form.
  • After successful submission of application take a printout of online application form for future reference.
